Remember This?? (1)

A treat for the "true hip hop" heads....usually 25 and up in age. I'm starting a monthly mix for my homies KB and Doc on XM. Glance over to the left and guess what its called...now add CLASSIX!! After years of working and complaining, and working and complaining....I'm finally getting some of that "That's the DJ we want!!" attention. The Rhyme 65 is treating a brother well. I know some of you don't subscribe to XM, and for the life of me I can't figure out why, but just for you and the folks who missed it this past Sunday I'm making the mix available.... para ti!!

Safe Sampling

A couple of years ago I started a project that never saw the light of day. Very rare for me, I know, but through the power of the internet I will now make this available to you few who have made this a stop on your way to your favorite porn site. You'll notice on the folder it says "1", why does it say that you ask???? It's simple this was going to be the first installment of about 10-15 records showcasing what is sample worthy in the Brunswick Records catalog. Here's how dope it was going to be- there are 2 songs in this release by THE LOST GENERATION that I got digitized versions of the sessions to. For you sample addicts I made them instrumentals. If you're a drum fanatic you'll have to contact me for the drum tracks. For all you rapper, producer, label folks let me take the time to say this to you. CLEAR THESE SAMPLES!!!!!!! The dude at Brunswick is actually really cool about sampling. He ,like most of us, hates drama and headaches, so the process is really easy and cool.

'Cause I CAN!!!

You would think I didn't have anything to do. You would also probably think "Dude, this is so random and not you." Well let me explain myself here. I'm a hater..yes I admit it. I can poke fun at just about anything, actually I poke fun at just about everything. But one thing I don't do is hop bandwagons of hate...I hate that. If a bunch of you hated it before me...then I hate your hate and now I like it. Truth of the matter is I probably liked it anyway but you would never know. All that said let me tell you why this is here. The "Google Me" song isn't for people my age nor was it meant to be. But, when I see a bunch of pseudo cool, wannabe hardcore hip hop, faux trendy, cornballs hating on a little girl (yes Ms. Taylor...you are a little girl) that's where I have to step up and say... "Really, c'mon". As a DJ I'll admit the song is a little hard to play. But it is a fun song nonetheless. So, I used my special powers, and an acapella that was on the promo cd, and came up with this version of the song for all those that wanna join in on the hate of the hate. Yes, the crusher of fun does have fun from time to time.

Just So You Know

This is a brand new blog...obviously. So before I give away all the goodies, I'll ease you into what goes on here. I do a number of "things" in the industry of music (surprise, surprise) and not all of them are made known to the general public. So through this blog, not just this entry, but over the course of however long it lasts, I'll lay some treats on you. So what's with the pic of the old radio? I'm so glad you asked. I do a show on XM's The Rhyme 65. I found a mix that I thought hip hop heads would be into. Take a minute..or 120 and listen to ,what was before the merger, XM!!! So to recap...the old radio represents XM, I'll be giving stuff away here, the Knicks need help, Obama should be our next president, and this is a blogspot that you should check out somewhat often.
